A rush of Spring greenery whirls toward through an open expanse of native grasslands in Wah'Kon-Tah Prairie, one of the last native virgin prairies in Missouri.
Abruptly, non-native species of planted tree, shrub, and flower interrupt. These flora exist in Tower Grove Park, a Victorian-style walking park largely designed by Englishman Henry Shaw, a wealthy merchant and slave owner.
The interplay of scenes intends to impart a remembrance for land that was conquered and lost, having been reimagined in the name of conservation by the distorted lens of colonialism.
