The Wrights of Passage
Stage Performances

Educational, G
A theatrical staging celebrating the Wright Brothers and the first 100 years of flight. It is the story of the passion and focus of two brothers who want to prove man can fly - with the occasional vaudeville joke thrown in to honor the comedy-style of time period.
The brothers made the first powered flights in 1903 in a machine of their own invention and construction. Their discoveries provide the foundation and technology still used today in modern aviation and space exploration. And yes, a model box-glider - similar to one of the Wright Brothers’ very own in their early days on the Outer Banks of North Carolina - is constructed onstage during the performance!
