Can you believe that less than 10% of our old growth forests still exist? These ecosystems provide habitats for an astonishing number of plants and animals, yet they are quickly being extinguished. Carved up by roads and cities, we are losing species that only exist in these places, and once they are gone, they are gone forever.
Today, we are back at Wes’s property, one of the few remaining examples of excellent old growth forest in Missouri, to explore the plants and creatures that live in these ecosystems.
