Walking the Trail from Experience to Story
Talk Show
George Sirois sits down with author Mic Lowther, who harnessed his decades-long dream of writing into seeking out experiences that can become the basis for later stories. The first major experience came in 1973 when he, his wife, and their 10-year-old child walked the Appalachian Trail, a 200+ day-long adventure that was documented in his book "Walking North." Since completing that journey, Mic has gone on to write a follow-up non-fiction book, as well as several children's books and his fiction trilogy that started with the novel "Seventeen Parcels" and continues with "The Unlikely Redemption of the Thief Sydney Bridgewater" (Part 3 is currently in development).
